I believe in the transformative power of holistic healing. My approach is rooted in warmth and authenticity.

WHO I AM

My name is Emily Schild, and I’m a Registered Professional Counsellor - Provisional (RPC-P) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). I’m grateful to welcome you to a space of care, understanding, and genuine connection.

What began as a personal path supporting survivors of gender-based abuse has grown into a deep commitment to whole-person wellness. My early experience as a certified fitness trainer opened my eyes to how movement and emotional well-being are interwoven. Volunteering with individuals navigating challenge and change, I witnessed the power of presence — how simply being met with compassion and without judgment can open the door to healing.

As my work evolved, I pursued formal education in psychology and counselling, completing my Diploma of Applied Psychology and Counselling through the Kelowna College of Professional Counselling. My practice is informed by somatic awareness, mindfulness, and person-centred approaches, and is guided by the values of authenticity, safety, and respect for each person’s pace and lived experience.

At Schild Wellness, I offer an integrative approach that honours the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Sessions may draw on mindfulness-based, strength-focused, and trauma-sensitive perspectives, always within a collaborative framework. Whether in-person, online, or through walk-and-talk therapy, my focus is to support awareness, resilience, and grounded self-connection.

My continuing education includes:

  • Clinical Trauma Specialist Certification

  • Somatic Healing Certification

  • Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification

  • Therapeutic Models of Mindfulness Certificate

  • Walk and Talk Therapy Certificate

  • Coaching and Mentoring Training

You are welcome to come as you are. Together, we can explore what balance, healing, and presence might mean for you.
