Services and Supports
“I don’t know where to start.”
“I feel nothing.”
“This might sound silly…”
“I’m scared to say this out loud.”
“I’ve never told anyone this before.”
If any of these feel familiar—you’re not alone.
You don’t need perfect words to reach out. You don’t need to have it all figured out before beginning. In counselling, your words—raw, messy, quiet, unsure—all belong.
My role is to walk beside you as you reconnect with yourself. Together, we create space to explore what feels heavy, release what no longer serves you, and rediscover balance and empowerment. You don’t have to carry it alone.
At Schild Wellness, I offer one-to-one counselling that adapts to your unique needs and goals. Our sessions are a safe, supportive place for open conversations where you can untangle your thoughts, process emotions, and explore patterns in your life. Along the way, we build coping strategies and tools to help you move through stress and challenges with more ease.
I take a holistic approach, weaving together different therapeutic methods to support the whole of you—mind, body, and spirit. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all process; it’s a compassionate, collaborative journey where you’re met exactly where you are.
✨ You don’t need the right words to begin.
What to expect:
In our time together, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental space to explore what’s been feeling heavy or unclear.
Sessions may include:
• Supportive conversation and reflection
• Simple grounding or breath-based practices
• Gentle body awareness (somatic) techniques
• Practical tools to carry into your daily routine
You set the pace — whether you need to process emotions, explore patterns, or simply take time to pause.
My role is to walk alongside you with understanding and presence, helping you reconnect to yourself and find steadiness from within.

Walk-and-Talk Therapy: Schild Wellness recognizes the therapeutic benefits of incorporating physical activity into the counselling process. Walk-and-talk therapy sessions take place outdoors, allowing clients to engage in movement while engaging in meaningful conversations. This approach can promote relaxation, enhance mood, and increase feelings of connection with nature.
Distance Walk-and-Talk: This option is for those who are out of town and like the idea of walk-and-talk therapy but are not close enough for the regular program. In this option you choose your outdoor location, your favourite trail or your neighbourhood and I will ‘meet’ you on the phone to walk and talk together.
Modalities:
Techniques of the following modalities may be incorporated based on what you are interested in and comfortable with.
Client-Centred Approach: Emphasizes creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. Focuses on the client's autonomy and self-exploration with the therapist as a supportive guide.
Mindfulness: Involves bringing attention to the present moment with openness and acceptance. Cultivates self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience to stress through practices like meditation and deep breathing.
Relaxation Techniques: Helps clients reduce muscle tension, alleviate stress, and promote a sense of calm.
Includes practices like progressive muscle relaxation and guided imagery to support relaxation and stress management.
Somatic Therapy: Focuses on the mind-body connection and how psychological experiences are reflected in the body. Utilizes techniques like body awareness and movement to release tension, process emotions, and restore balance.
My approach draws from an integrative blend of modalities that honour the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Rooted in a person-centred and somatic framework, I incorporate mindfulness-based and experiential practices that support awareness, regulation, and self-connection. Depending on the client’s needs, sessions may include elements from strength-based, attachment-informed, and trauma-sensitive perspectives. Each session is guided by collaboration, presence, and respect for the client’s unique pace and inner wisdom.
