Schild Wellness is a mental health practice dedicated to providing holistic and comprehensive support for individuals seeking to enhance their mental well-being. With a focus on holistic approaches, various therapeutic modalities are integrated to address the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. At Schild Wellness, the emphasis is placed on creating a personalized and collaborative therapeutic experience that empowers individuals to cultivate resilience, self-awareness, and overall mental well-being. One-to-one counselling sessions at Schild Wellness are tailored to meet each client's unique needs and goals. Providing a safe and supportive environment, these sessions allow individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Clients engage in open and meaningful conversations, gaining insight into their current emotions, behaviours, and relationships Through talk therapy we work to develop coping skills and strategies for managing stress and challenges.
Delivery Options
In-Person: In person sessions are available at 780 Canboro Rd. Fenwick within the Beautiful Mind Boutique Fitness Studio.
Virtual: One-to-one meetings take place virtually from the comfort of your own home.
Phone: For those who prefer, phone sessions are available.
Walk-and-Talk Therapy: Schild Wellness recognizes the therapeutic benefits of incorporating physical activity into the counselling process. Walk-and-talk therapy sessions take place outdoors, allowing clients to engage in movement while engaging in meaningful conversations. This approach can promote relaxation, enhance mood, and increase feelings of connection with nature.
Distance Walk-and-Talk: This option is for those who are out of town and like the idea of walk-and-talk therapy but are not close enough for the regular program. In this option you choose your outdoor location, your favourite trail or your neighbourhood and I will ‘meet’ you on the phone to walk and talk together.
Techniques of the following modalities may be incorporated based on what you are interested in and comfortable with.
Client-Centred Approach: Emphasizes creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. Focuses on the client's autonomy and self-exploration with the therapist as a supportive guide.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Goal-oriented therapy that helps clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviours. Teaches practical skills and techniques to manage stress, overcome obstacles, and develop healthier coping strategies.
Mindfulness: Involves bringing attention to the present moment with openness and acceptance. Cultivates self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience to stress through practices like meditation and deep breathing.
Relaxation Techniques: Helps clients reduce muscle tension, alleviate stress, and promote a sense of calm.
Includes practices like progressive muscle relaxation and guided imagery to support relaxation and stress management.
Somatic Therapy: Focuses on the mind-body connection and how psychological experiences are reflected in the body. Utilizes techniques like body awareness and movement to release tension, process emotions, and restore balance.

Session Details
Sessions are 50 minutes in length and the cost is $90 per hour. If you are planning on utilizing insurance coverage, please check with your company prior to your appointment to confirm that coverage is in place for RPC-C.
